Our commitment to combating modern slavery and human trafficking.

Last updated: April 2025

Our Commitment

25th Avenue Housing has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, implementing and enforcing effective systems to prevent modern slavery.

About This Statement

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our organisation's slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2025.

Our Organisation

25th Avenue Housing is a charitable Community Benefit Society providing supported accommodation and practical support to individuals at risk of homelessness. We operate across London and Birmingham, serving some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Our work puts us in direct contact with individuals who may be at higher risk of exploitation, and we take our responsibility to protect them seriously.

Our Supply Chains

Our supply chains include property maintenance, cleaning services, catering supplies, and professional services. We work exclusively with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical practices.

Our Policies

  • Modern Slavery Policy – zero-tolerance approach to exploitation
  • Safeguarding Policy – protecting vulnerable individuals
  • Whistleblowing Policy – encouraging reporting of concerns
  • Recruitment Policy – ensuring fair and ethical hiring practices
  • Supplier Code of Conduct – requiring ethical practices from partners

Due Diligence & Risk Assessment

We conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential modern slavery risks in our operations and supply chains. Staff receive training on identifying and reporting signs of exploitation, and we work closely with local authorities and support services to safeguard vulnerable individuals.

Staff Training

All staff receive training on modern slavery awareness, including how to recognise signs of exploitation and how to report concerns. Training is refreshed annually and is mandatory for all employees.

Reporting Concerns

If you suspect any form of modern slavery, human trafficking, or exploitation within our organisation or supply chains, please report it immediately using our confidential reporting channels:
